The Human Expenditure Program is a horror visual novel created by SHROOMYCHRIST, released on September 12, 2025, for PC. Acting as a sequel to BLOODMONEY! (2025), the game maintains the disturbing themes of morality, choice, and consequence, but it takes a different approach by giving players direct control over Harvey Harvington's life. Harvey, in contrast to a conventional simulator, is more than just a character you control; he is a human being with feelings and memory, and every choice you make has an irrevocable impact. The result is a blend of psychological tension, eerie atmosphere, and interactive storytelling.

Following the cult success of BLOODMONEY! SHROOMYCHRIST developed Human Expenditure Program as a spiritual successor that leans more heavily into narrative. While BLOODMONEY! focused on the controversial aesthetics of wealth and morality, this sequel narrows in on human interaction and emotional consequence. Development began in early 2025 and quickly gained attention in indie horror circles for its dark premise and experimental design.
The main focus of the game is controlling Harvey's everyday activities, such as feeding him and treating him. However, the encounter is anything but informal. You feel uneasy because Harvey responds to your choices, retains them, and reflects them to you. The story branches toward two possible endings based on how you handle his well-being, and minigames interrupt the narrative flow.
