Yume Nikki is a one-of-a-kind exploration experience that transports you to Madotsuki's dream world. There are no missions to complete or foes to battle—just you, meandering through bizarre, enigmatic settings. Every dream starts in the Nexus, where doors open to unusual and memorable locations. Finding all 24 "Effects" will allow you to interact with the world in new ways and unearth secrets.

Gameplay: Arena Basics

You start in Madotsuki’s apartment. Sleep in the bed to enter the dream world, then explore freely. Each door in the Nexus leads to a different area filled with unusual creatures, abstract visuals, and secret paths.

Collecting Effects is the main objective. These items can change your appearance or give simple abilities, like moving faster or interacting with certain objects. There’s no right or wrong way to play—exploration and curiosity drive everything.
